Candidates who are awaiting the results of their final year test or whose qualifying examinations have been postponed may apply for the exam; however, their admission is provisional until they show their mark sheet within a specified time frame. Failure to submit the mark sheet within the stated time range may result in disqualification. Applicants with a PhD and a Master’s degree completed by September 1991 (regardless of the result announcement date) are eligible for a 5% reduction in aggregate marks when taking the exam. Transgender candidates will receive the same fee, age, and qualification exemptions as candidates in the SC/ST/PWD categories. Candidates are only allowed to take the exam in the topic of their Master’s degree. However, if a candidate’s post-graduate subject is not on the APSET list, they may take the exam in a related discipline.
